The nectar of the greatest operas
D.I.V.A Opus 1
Five opera singers, accompanied by a string quartet, revisit great operas in a reduced format of about ten minutes each.
Like a succession of scenes, each opera is presented in a contemporary and modern, humorous, serious, or offbeat manner. These innovative, playful, and educational adaptations transcend genre boundaries, take on new meanings, and become accessible to a wider audience. They have fun while ensuring not to betray the music.
Composer Olivier Rabet arranges, transposes, and reduces each opera: Carmen (G. Bizet), La Traviata (G. Verdi), Tosca (G. Puccini), Les Contes d'Hoffmann (J. Offenbach), as well as Don Giovanni and Die zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart
